A huge crater devours cars in Rome

The inhabitants of the Quadraro neighborhood in Rome were left speechless by a surprising phenomenon: a gigantic crater about 10 meters wide opened in the middle of the street, swallowing two cars that were parked.

The unusual incident took place around 1 a.m. on via Sestio Menas, triggering the closure of the road and the mobilization of local authorities to secure the affected area. Everything was recorded on video.

The images of the event, released by the Local Police Corpo di Roma Capitale, revealed the magnitude of the hole and the vehicles trapped inside, a Dacia and a Renault.

The prompt action of local patrols made it possible to secure the area and remove the affected cars before establishing a security perimeter with containment fences, thus avoiding possible additional risks.

Although fortunately there were no injuries, the authorities continued to monitor the situation and investigate the causes of this strange event. Likewise, they call on the population to be alert and report any anomaly on public roads that may represent a danger.
