A real estate developer with more than 50 years of experience and an architect with more than 25 years of experience are behind Cases Singulars de l’Empordà. They are José Antonio Casanovas and Glòria Duran, two lovers of this region and its centuries-old buildings. “We had been collaborating for years until, in 2012, we had the idea of ??coming together to found Cases Singulars de l’Empordà,” explains Casanovas. Through his company, the partners are dedicated to “the rehabilitation and sale of houses that are more than 100 years old and located in charming towns in the Baix Empordà, on the Costa Brava,” says the co-founder.

In these nearly 12 years, Cases Singulars de l’Empordà has rehabilitated and sold 15 properties, including town houses and farmhouses. “We give a new life to each of the old houses that we rehabilitate, which have usually been in disuse for many years, respecting and enhancing the original elements that make them singular and unique,” ??says Casanovas.

In recent years, “the difficulties in finding town houses that meet the requirements demanded by our clients, in terms of size, location, characteristics… have led us to build a development of 11 new construction homes in Pals, a town emblematic of the Baix Empordà”, explains the founding partner. Casanovas points out that the promotion, which is under construction, combines the comforts of the 21st century with characteristics of the traditional architecture of the area (stone facades, aged Arabic tile roofs…).

Cases Singulars de l’Empordà is based in Barcelona and employs four people. Last year, the company’s turnover amounted to 3.7 million euros.
