The labeling that the General Directorate of Traffic grants to automobiles logically favors the most efficient models on the market, with advantages in tax and mobility matters in low-emission areas. This regulation punishes the most polluting cars, but there is an exception that benefits models that are more than thirty years old and that can be classified as historic.
They are true collector’s items and, in addition, they offer more driving sensations than current cars. If they are in their original state, these models will enjoy certain privileges, including the possibility of circulating – sporadically – in the low emissions zones established on a mandatory basis by cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants. In this way, some charismatic sports cars from the late 20th century could become objects of desire for nostalgic users.
The five models that we present below, available on the used market, will soon reach three decades since the beginning of their marketing. Consequently, it is a good time to get a unit in good condition and have it ready to enjoy when it is a car classified as historic.
