Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested for Domestic Violence Incident
Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in “Home Improvement,” was arrested on Jan. 1 for allegedly choking and punching an unidentified woman during a domestic dispute. The incident, which occurred in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, led to Bryan’s arrest after a third party called 911 and reported the attack. The woman, who was not named in the police report, suffered bruising and swelling on her face as a result of the assault. She revealed that she lived with Bryan and shared children with the actor.
Previous Arrests and Legal Troubles
This is not the first time Bryan has faced legal troubles related to domestic violence. In July 2023, he was arrested in Eugene, Oregon, for a similar incident involving an unnamed woman. He was charged with two counts of assault in the fourth degree, but one charge was later dismissed as part of a negotiated resolution. Bryan ended up serving only seven days in jail instead of facing a longer sentence.
In addition to his history of domestic violence arrests, Bryan has also been in trouble with the law for driving under the influence. In October 2024, he was arrested in Oklahoma for a DUI charge after being found sleeping in his Range Rover on the side of the road. Bryan declined to take a sobriety test and apologized to the arresting officer for his behavior, stating that he “likes to drink.”

Bryan began his career as a child actor, appearing in TV commercials before landing his breakout role as Brad Taylor on “Home Improvement.” He continued to work in the entertainment industry, taking on roles in various TV shows and eventually starting his own production company.

His former co-star, Tim Allen, expressed concern about Bryan’s behavior in a 2023 interview, noting that he had noticed a change in the actor over the years.
