The PSPV formed its new parliamentary group on Thursday that will be led by the acting minister Rebeca Torró, but will be controlled by the party’s general secretary, Ximo Puig. As the trustee herself has recognized this Friday before meeting with the president of Les Corts Valencianes, Llanos Massó, it will be Puig (as president of the socialist group in Parliament) who will reply to the future president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón.

As could be expected, the Socialist leader, who wants to maintain the leadership of the opposition after improving his electoral results but not being able to reissue the Botànic, reserves the possibility of intervening in those debates of more weight. For this reason, his decision not to leave the act of deputy despite his claim to be appointed territorial senator.

His speech will also be a kind of farewell to the progressive government – ??that day will be the last day he will be head of the Council – as well as a vindication of the work done over the years. A management that, despite having good data in the polls, did not achieve sufficient electoral support.

The investiture debate will be, in all probability, next Thursday the 13th. “It seems that, if there is nothing against it, the investiture will be on the 13th”, explained the president of Les Corts at the end of the first Table held after the constitution of parliament. However, Massó recalled that the date has to be ratified by the Board of Trustees to be held next Monday. Thus, she clarified that “there is a will” on the part of all the groups, also from the opposition “to facilitate the operation of the new Courts.”

This Friday, the new president of the autonomous Parliament continued with the round of contacts with parliamentary groups after meeting yesterday with the future president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, who confirmed that he has sufficient support to be elected. The Vox trustee, Ana Vega, has also ratified that her group will support Mazón, although she has warned that “Vox is not going to lose its essence.”

For their part, both Rebeca Torró (PSPV) and Joan Baldoví (Compromís) have pointed out that they will not present any candidate and that they will oppose the investiture of Mazón. Their votes are not necessary since the sum of PP and Vox reaches 53 seats of the 99 that there are in the Valencian Hemicycle.

On the other hand, after the meeting of the Consell and before the Mesa de Les Corts, the acting Minister of Justice, Gabriela Bravo, has resigned from her position in the regional government, with the aim of avoiding situations of “de facto incompatibility “for the exercise of her duties as second vice-president of Les Corts.
