Ximo Puig has assessed that the idea of ??Isabel Díaz Ayuso to recover the “axis of prosperity” between Madrid and the Valencian Community that Aznar promoted to oppose Zapatero “is not the best example that we Valencians need”. In this regard, he recalled that that alliance between Francisco Camps, Esperanza Aguirre and of which the former Balearic president Jaume Matas was also a part “was the axis of corruption and not of prosperity.” Ayuso defended this Sunday the need to recover that alliance with Carlos Mazón and María José Català with the aim of “ending the identity business”.
In an interview in À Punt, the Valencian president stated that this campaign for the regional and local elections of 28M “will be about whether we want to look to the past or flee, to decide if we want a more prosperous future”. In addition, he has been opposed to presenting the Valencian Community as an electoral “trophy” for the PP or the PSOE: “it is not a trophy for anyone or a step to get anywhere.” Ximo Puig will sign “between Thursday and Monday” the decree of dissolution of the Valencian Parliament with which the pre-campaign will start, which he hopes will focus on Valencian issues.
