Officials announced Thursday that cold case investigators had located the now-adult child of a Florida couple who were found murdered in 1981. The baby had been missing for a long time.

Two bodies were found in Houston’s wooded area, but their identities were not known until last year, when genetic research revealed that they were Tina Gail Linn Clouse Jr. and Harold Dean Clouse Jr.

According to a statement by the Texas Attorney General’s Office, “The Linn, Clouse and Clouse families have been looking for answers regarding the welfare of Holly and the Clouses since they were last heard about in 1980.”

“Baby Holly was found alive and well. She is now 42 years old.” Holly was notified about her biological parents’ identities and has made contact with her extended biological relatives. They hope to meet up soon.

It was not immediately clear where and by whom the now-adult child of the couple was raised.

In a statement released to the media by prosecutors, Holly’s grandmother Donna Casasanta stated that Holly was grateful to all investigators for their efforts to locate Holly.

“I prayed day after day for them and that Holly would find Holly, and that she would be alright.”
