The latest precipitations in the form of snowfall have left a landscape with thicknesses of 12/14 centimeters of snow in the Pla de Busa, as we see in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.
Last January there was another snowfall that covered this area in white and now it happened again in March, when it seemed that the mild spring was already here.
We are located at the 1500 level of Pla de Busa, in the Solsonès region, which has been covered in snow. The Busa mountain range forms a wide plateau, called the Pla de Busa, cut on all sides by high cliffs and which extends from the Vall d’Ora in the east to the Cardener valley in the west.
This plain, which is a natural island on the rocks of the Busa mountain range and offers a magnificent panoramic view, now shines with this white landscape still giving an image of fully winter.
The Pla de Busa forms a wide plateau. This is cut by the cliffs of Areny, Moro and La Creu, with slopes of more than 300 meters.
On this plateau the Rial house remains, the only farmhouse still permanently inhabited. In the 14th century there were 17 houses and, in the mid-18th century, the parish had 63 inhabitants. In the area we will find the church of Sant Cristòfol, quite well preserved, originating from the 11th century and completely renovated in 1758, as indicated by the lintel.
The Sierra de Busa and El Capolatell, which are part of a Protected Natural Interest Area, are next to the Sierra de los Bastets, formed by Montserratine-shaped walls, and the highest peak is El Cogul, with 1526 meters.
