In the town of Fonollosa (Bages) we find this oak listed by the Generalitat as a Monumental Tree and known as the Querol Grossa Alzina.
It is a beautiful crown oak, with a double function: to hold cattle and as a shaded space for people. Now, located next to Mas Querol, traditionally the people of the farmhouse closed deals here.
On the farm, currently, an extensive agricultural and livestock activity is carried out, with grazing cows. If you want to visit the holm oak, you must take into account that it is private property.
Not far from here, about 50 meters to the east and located on a hill, we find another isolated holm oak, but smaller.
The Alzina Grossa de Querol has an average cup of 22.8 meters. The perimeter of the base of the trunk is 5.64 meters while the height of the tree is 16.82 meters.
