What prey has the kestrel caught?

I have been able to capture for La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos these images in Sentfores of the beautiful little bird of prey, the common kestrel.

Many times we see how this bird, which I have been able to portray from various perspectives and positions, flaps its wings in the hope of launching itself at prey.

In the photographs we see that it has captured a prey, which, although it cannot be distinguished, looks like a mole.

In the background I saw the hermitage of Sant Sebastià and little by little I changed my position to capture the image of the kestrel in the foreground with the mountain in the background.

The town of Sentfores belongs to the municipality of Vic, the capital of the Osona region, and extends through the Meder River valley.
