The Tourism Department of the Valencia City Council, to celebrate the Christmas holidays “in an original way”, has organized the free theatrical routes ‘Travel back in time this Christmas, through the history of València’.

In this way, we seek to promote the Neighborhood Tourism program, to promote knowledge of four neighborhoods by citizens and those who visit the city these weeks. The tours will take place in Patraix, Malva-Rosa, Benimàmet and Cabanyal-Canyamelar, from December 17 until the end of the month.

As for the Patraix neighborhood, the routes will take place on December 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Through the guided tour of the different streets and emblematic places that make up this neighborhood, participants will be able to learn about the industrial and working-class past of the city.

Regarding Malva-Rosa, the routes will take place on December 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visitors will be able to discover the different aromas that accompany the guided walk, including the smell of geranium and the sea. Not in vain, it has been a place chosen by writers such as Blasco Ibáñez or Manuel Vicent, who were inspired by these streets to tell stories.
