In La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos we can see the conjunction of the full moon with the star Antares when it sets with a halo around it due to clouds, images captured in Vic (Osona).
The closest approach was today at 6 in the morning, when I captured the images. In America, the moon hid the star.
The star Antares that we see on the full moon in May, known as the star of flowers because it is in spring, is the main one in the constellation of Scorpio.
Conjunction is one of the main aspects of the planets. It is also applicable to any celestial object that is located visually close to another.
Two stars are in conjunction when, observed from a third (generally the Earth), they are at the same celestial longitude.
