Today I took a walk through L’Escala and Empúries, in the Alt Empordà region, where I found a cool morning with clouds. Even so, in the month of March, the charm of the Costa Brava is not lost.
This place has magical corners such as Portitxol in Empúries, the ruins of the ancient Greek and later Roman colony, the walk that leads to l’Escala and, once there, the large beach and Port d’en Perris, a thick sand beach. and pebbles, located in the old town of L’Escala.
Around here we find a series of restaurants by the sea and Riells beach, which takes us to the port of La Clota and, following the road or the coastal path, to Montgó.
The fauna is also present and is getting closer to humans. In one of the photographs, a seagull shows us an example of this fauna-human approach.
I hope you like this small photographic report that I show you in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos, in which I portray a place on the Costa Brava where I approach from Olot, in La Garrotxa, which is where I live.
The Costa Brava in general also has its charm in winter and, above all, more tranquility than in summer, as these images convey.
