Veritas has closed the 2023 financial year with revenues of 117 million euros, which is 5% more than the previous year, and with this result it strengthens its position as a supermarket chain specializing in organic products.

“Growing 5% again for the second consecutive year demonstrates the margin for growth that our sector has. We aspire to double this figure by 2024. This objective is aligned with our ambitious expansion plan, aimed at territories where the demand for organic products is not yet covered. Our new commitment to Andalusia, with two points of sale in Estepona, is firm and will continue in the near future, also in the province of Malaga,” the general director, Anselmo Méndez, said in statements to this newspaper. .

The company, owned by the Elías family, plans to invest 6 million euros this year to carry out this expansion. Specifically, it plans to open 8 establishments, between Malaga and the rest of the communities where it is currently present: Catalonia, the Basque Country, Navarra, the Balearic Islands, Madrid, Valencia and Andorra.

Regarding employment, the company assures that it employs 826 people in a total of 77 establishments, of which only two are franchises and the rest are its own establishments.

Company sources detail that most of Veritas’ activity is based on the retail sale of products in supermarkets while a small part – which contributes 4 million in income – consists of marketing its products to communities, such as schools and hospitals. . In total, the company has a catalog of 6,000 products.
