The Crida de Fallas will be celebrated on Sunday, March 3, as well as all the events planned that same day. The president of the Central Fallera Board, Santiago Ballester, met today with his board to communicate the new Fallera calendar after the official mourning for the victims of the Campanar fire ended last Monday. The Falla entity has once again conveyed its “affection” to the family and friends of the victims of the fire, as well as its “support for all those affected.”
Ballester wanted to highlight “the solidarity, respect and empathy” that all the Fallas commissions and the Falleras Mayores of Valencia and their Courts of Honor have had since last Thursday with the people affected by the fire.
The rescheduling of the Fallas events seeks, according to the Central Fallera Board, to provide “legal security” to the Fallas commissions that have different permits granted during the month of March to carry out different activities. Thus, on Sunday both the Macrodespertà and the Entry of Bands will be held at the same time as scheduled. Sunday’s events are as follows:
– 07.15 hours. Children’s Macrodespertà from the Plaza de la Reina.
– 07.30 hours. Macrodespertà through the streets of La Paz and San Vicente until reaching the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
– 08.00 hours (approximately). Apotheosis with mascletà in the Town Hall square and subsequent breakfast.
– 12.00 hours. Bands Entry (The departure will be at 11.30 from the Plaza de Tetuán).
– 8:00 p.m. Crida (The show will start at 7:35 p.m.).
Likewise, within the pyrotechnic calendar, the pyrotechnic show by Pirotecnia Zaragozana originally scheduled for Sunday, March 3 at 8 p.m. will move to Friday, March 1 at 11:59 p.m. in the same location, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
The rest of the events that were canceled will be held in the coming days, such as the visit to the Ciudad Fallera, which will be on Monday, March 4 at 11 a.m.; the Culture Gala will take place on Wednesday, March 6; The Tribute to the Painter Segrelles will be on Sunday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. and the Fallera Gala at Feria Valencia moves to Friday, April 19, once the Fallas festivities have been celebrated.
