The Valencia City Council has already activated the form and procedure on the website and in the municipal electronic office so that businesses and hotels that were compulsorily closed and without activity during the months of confinement derived from the covid pandemic can request a refund of the Economic Activities Tax (IAE).

The City Council calculates that it will have to return to the businesses an amount that will oscillate between 700,000 euros and 800,000 euros, although the final figure will depend on the establishments that present the request and meet the requirements.

The Local Government Board approved two weeks ago to initiate the appropriate procedures to proceed with the refund of the proportional part of the IAE fee in those cases in which there has been a total stoppage of industry, commerce or economic activity and the appropriate requirements are met.

The Councilor for Finance and Participation, María José Ferrer San Segundo, declared that “the new municipal government of Mayor María José Catalá fulfills its commitments. This time with the merchants and hoteliers of Valencia. And we do it, moreover, with sensitivity to their problems, sensitivity and efficiency without subjecting them to the judicial and administrative pilgrimage that they had been suffering ”, she highlighted.

As they are legal persons, applicants must electronically request the return of the corresponding amounts. To find out all the information, download the forms and submit the application, you can consult the page https://acortar.link/DjwjAN, where a special banner has been installed, or access the “One click” section of the municipal website.
