The Department of Education, Universities and Employment has met today with the managing committee of the EBAU access processes, which has approved the holding of the tests between June 4 and 6, 2024 in an ordinary call in the Valencian Community.

This is the first in-person meeting of this body since the pandemic. The meeting, chaired by the regional secretary of Universities, Esther Gómez, was attended by representatives of the Ministry, as well as representatives of the teaching staff of institutes, of the educational inspection and of vice-rectors of students of the universities of Alicante, Jaume I , Miguel Hernández, Politècnica de València and Universitat de València.

During the meeting, issues such as the proposed schedule and calendar of the tests, as well as the organization of the 2024 university pre-registration for admission to the 24/25 course, were addressed. In this way, the managing committee has agreed that the University entrance tests will take place on June 4, 5 and 6, 2024, in an ordinary session, and on July 2, 3 and 4, in an extraordinary session. The exams will last 90 minutes with 45-minute breaks, the same as in previous years.

For their part, the entrance tests for those over 25, 40 and 45 years old will be on Saturdays, April 20 and 27, 2024. The exams for these tests will have the same optionality as they had in the last courses.

The 2024 University entrance tests will maintain the structure of the previous courses, with a mandatory phase and a voluntary phase. In the compulsory phase, students will be examined in five subjects: Spanish, Valencian, the foreign language studied as a first language (English, French, Italian or German), the core subject of the Baccalaureate that is of their modality, and the one they prefer among History. of Spain and History of Philosophy.

In the voluntary phase, a maximum of 4 subjects may be examined, taken or not taken, to choose from all those that are weighted and are from the new curriculum, and that are not examined in the mandatory phase.

The subjects considered for pre-registration in 2024 are those already approved by the Management Committee at its meeting on June 5, 2023. There will be a total of 49 subjects, 21 from the previous curriculum and 28 from the new curriculum.

The contents of the entrance exams for this school year will be based on the contents of the subjects regulated in DECREE 108/2022, of August 5, of the Council, by which the organization and curriculum of the Baccalaureate are established. (DOGV of 8/12/2022).
