At least two people have been slightly injured after an explosion in a building on Madrid Avenue, located in the Sants neighborhood in Barcelona.
As Betevé has reported, the explosion occurred this Wednesday around one o’clock in the afternoon, in a building located between Avinguda Madrid and Carrer de Portbou, and caused two minor injuries. Some passersby who were passing through the area heard a loud explosion and saw a column of black smoke protruding from the roof of the building located at number 56-62 Madrid Avenue in the busy Barcelona neighborhood of Sants.
After the scare, ten minutes later, a second explosion occurred that has generated great concern among the neighbors and that a woman who was walking in the area even recorded on video and shared through X (formerly Twitter).
Two Firefighters teams quickly went to the scene to put out the fire and confirmed that the building has not suffered any structural damage.
