Two men were injured yesterday when the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in Vilanova de l’Aguda, in Lleida. Both were evacuated in medical helicopters to the Vall d’Hebron hospitals in Barcelona and Parc Taulí in Sabadell.
One of the injured, from Ribelles (belonging to the municipality of Vilanova de l’Aguda), owns helicopters and several small planes.
The accident helicopter fell near the Masía Can Valls, owned by the resident of Ribelles, and seven fire crews and four SEM teams traveled to the place, which was difficult to access. The emergency services received the notification at 3:21 p.m.
