Last Thursday, the National Police arrested two employees of a private daycare center in Pozuelo de Alcorcón, where sons and daughters from 0 to 4 years old of famous soccer players such as Álvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann, Saúl, Mario Hermoso and some singers and businessmen attend. for allegedly insulting and mistreating six of the children they were caring for, according to investigation sources.
One of the employees, who has been working for a long time at the facilities of the Pecas children’s center – located on Juan Pablo II Avenue – would be the alleged perpetrator of the events. Another of the caregivers, younger, would be an accomplice of the first.
The investigation began following complaints from a trainee worker who clandestinely recorded videos showing alleged humiliation of minors, including scolding them by telling them: “Your parents are rich.” This woman filed a complaint weeks ago with the Pozuelo de Alarcón National Police station, where she provided the videos. Specialized agents will view these and other security recordings that they have already requested from the children’s center to try to find out what happened.
The investigators have already spoken with the parents, who were unaware of what was happening. The injured parties are being summoned so that they can take action in the judicial procedure. Police continue to work to determine how long the abuse has occurred and whether more people may be involved.
The case is being handled by Court number 3 of Pozuelo, which has imposed a 500-meter restraining order on these children on the alleged perpetrator of the events and their prohibition on participation in sporting, teaching and work events in which there are minors, while that no measures have been imposed on the accomplice, who ignored what happened.
For its part, a spokesperson for the Department of Education of the Community of Madrid has reported that they will immediately send the center to the Educational Inspection to open a file on what happened and determine the possible measures to be taken.
From the children’s center itself they have decided to suspend the detained employees from employment and pay. In addition, they have explained to Europa Press that the children’s center has an “impeccable” record in its 30 years of history and that it is the first time that an event of this nature has happened. The center’s management assures that it is the first interested in clarifying the facts and has offered its full collaboration with the authorities.
