A 30-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy died in a quad accident this Sunday night in a wooded area near Món Sant Benet (in the Bages region of Barcelona), according to El Caso and confirmed by the Mossos d’Esquadra.

The victims fell down a 50-meter ravine on the Camino de les Generes, in the municipality of Talamanca. The notice came shortly after 7:00 p.m. and several Mossos, Firefighters, and SEM units were immediately activated.

The two victims were in an area that was difficult to access and, when the troops arrived, the forensic doctor certified the death of the 30-year-old driver of the vehicle and the minor.

As a result of the death of both, eight Mossos crews and six land Firefighters, a helicopter and GRAE personnel from Olot and Cerdanyola were activated

In addition, three units attended, a medicalized helicopter and a team of psychologists from the Medical Emergency System (SEM).

The Mossos have already opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident.
