On January 27, 2012, the two members of an octogenarian couple and their adolescent granddaughter were found dead in their apartment in the Sagrada Familia neighborhood of Barcelona. The criminal had ended their lives with a hammer. The bodies were discovered by the only person who also lived at that address and who was not the object of the savage attack: Mónica Claveguera. She was the daughter of the elderly and the girl’s aunt.

In a scene full of blood and disorder with the intention of simulating a robbery, the homicide investigators of the Mossos d’Esquadra discovered that the murderer had turned over all the religious prints and family photos and had put them face to face. Wall. That psychological trace and the covering of the bodies with rags and quilts made them think that the criminal was someone very close and that the figure of Mónica Claveguera was the key to clarifying the triple crime of the Sagrada Familia.
