The Ministry of Finance has enabled the official website to request the new 200-euro check for vulnerable families announced in the latest anti-crisis package from the Government. The forecast is that 4.2 million families will benefit.

The form to access the aid can be completed from February 15, when the application period opens, until March 31. Thus, although the portal can now be accessed on the website of the Tax Agency, at the moment there is only information on the process, the possibility of claiming and registration in Cl@ve.

The check can be requested by people who have a maximum income of 27,000 euros per year and assets of less than 75,000 euros. Pensioners or recipients of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) may not request it. Another requirement is that throughout 2022 you have carried out an activity on your own or someone else’s account for which you are registered with Social Security or mutual benefit, or have received an unemployment benefit or subsidy. That is, having been an employee, self-employed or unemployed.

The form must include the bank account of the holder of the request. If resolved favorably, the money will be paid into the account specified by the applicant with a bank transfer. In case of refusal, the applicant will be notified of a proposal for a refusal resolution, in which the necessary data will be indicated to consult the reasons for the refusal.

At that time, there will be a period of 10 days, from the day after the refusal, to claim and present the documents and supporting documents that you consider. If a month passes from the notification without presenting documents, the procedure will be terminated.

If in three months from the end of the term for submitting the form (March 31) payment has not been made, it is understood that the request has been denied. Against this presumed dismissal, an appeal for reinstatement and an economic-administrative claim may be filed.
