A man tragically lost his life while trying to climb over a fence at the United States-Mexico International Border earlier this month. The incident took place on the morning of November 8, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Reports suggest that a group of four to five individuals used a makeshift ladder on the south side of the border to scale the fence and reach the ground on the north side. Unfortunately, during this attempt, Edgar Guillermo Hernandez Chavarro, a 62-year-old man from Colombia, fell from the top of the fence to the ground on the north side.
Upon arrival, first responders pronounced Chavarro dead at the scene. The U.S. Border Patrol was also present during the incident.
