Manresa is once again filled with music with the celebration of the 26th Fira Mediterrània, known for the color and variety in the projects that it programs from October 5 to 8 with an agenda that stands out for the international nature of the proposals and the role of artificial intelligence in creative processes. There are more than eighty proposals to get to know the Mediterranean scene and this year, in addition to releasing new things from the Catalan music scene, the focus has been on projects from Portugal and Galicia such as that of Ana Lua Caiano who will premiere her new EP, Se dançar é so depois The objective of the fair is also to publicize new scenes and ways of working with music from around the world outside the Catalan geographical area and that is why the space will allow you to see projects by emerging artists and the associative fabric with the OFF programming: Lauzeta, Mar Pujol Golconda, Su Lup, Sorguen or the folk group Virgen Sosa are some of the shows it includes.

The multidisciplinary fair proposes three major itineraries in its programming: music, dance and memory with legacy and oral tradition. These are realized by integrating the Mediterranean scene of world music and folk music, the view of traditional movement in dance and performing and street arts that draw on popular culture. There are proposals that explore and recover the past, dealing with the present and addressing the future with an eye on the role of AI. In this area, names such as Nuria Andorrano with Ni.Uno, Gerard Franch and Maria Jover with Berenguera and the Orquestra de Músiques d’Arrel de Catalunya (OMAC) with Crui stand out.

Many of the activities are free and on the street and, from Friday to Sunday, there will be the Firapasseig – a food, craft and party supplier market located on Passeig Pre III in Manresa. In parallel with the programming, the ÀreaPRO continues to be promoted with the Casino cultural center as the epicenter of the sessions aimed at professionals in the sector. All programming and tickets can be consulted on the Fair’s website.
