The National Police continues to investigate the theft of a shipment of toys that were going to be distributed among children from disadvantaged families in Polígono Sur, the neighborhood with the lowest average annual net income per person in all of Spain according to official statistics.

Specifically, they took a total of 38 boxes of toys obtained at a charity zambomba in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), which were intended for about 300 boys and girls from families without resources in the Polígono Sur neighborhood of Seville.

According to Onda Cero and sources from the investigation have confirmed to EFE, the organizers carried out the aforementioned charity activity on December 23 and with the money raised they bought toys for children from Las Tres Mil Viviendas, which were going to be delivered this Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the neighborhood parish.

On Thursday they loaded the van, which they left parked while they had something to eat at the Polígono Parsi in Seville, and when they returned they realized that the vehicle had been stolen.

The van was located at night, but the thieves took all the cargo before leaving it abandoned, a total of 38 boxes full of new toys that had been bought to be delivered today to the children.

The National Police has taken charge of the complaint, and has asked that extreme caution be taken when purchasing toys that do not have guarantees of being of legal origin.
