Dip in Balearic waters and sailboat ride along the north coast of Mallorca with film director Alejandro González Iñárritu. This has been the latest plan of Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, who on some occasion had already declared himself in love with Spain.
As published by the Daily Mail, which gives details of the actor’s getaway to the island, the objective of this visit would have been to set the scene for the Mexican filmmaker’s next film that will star the protagonist of Mission: Impossible.
The actor, 61, has enjoyed a few days of sun and sea on the island. The photographs show him taking a bath on the beach of Formentor or Cala Pi de la Posada, characteristic for its white sand and crystal clear water. “Tom Cruise was in a very good mood when he took off his shirt to take a dip during the weekend,” says the British newspaper, which offers some images in which the artist can be seen taking a bath in the waters of Pollença.
Cruise was wearing a navy blue swimsuit, a gray T-shirt and a straw hat to protect himself from the sun. After the bath she put on some socks and sneakers. The Daily Mail emphasizes the good physical shape in which the Hollywood star is at 61 years old. “Known for performing his own stunts and staying in fantastic shape, the actor showed off his muscular body while spending the day on Formentor beach. The actor and director took a swim and then boarded a sailboat to sail around the northern end of the island of Mallorca.
Last February it was made public that Cruise was in talks with Warner Bros. to work on a film with González Iñárritu, who has directed titles such as Birdman, Amores Perros or The Revenant. According to Deadline, Tom has been “one of the first” actors to speak with the director about what would be the filmmaker’s first English-language film in nine years.
The Top Gun star has taken advantage of this getaway to take a professional break after he has recently been filming in London for the next installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, which could be released in May 2025.
During the filming of this eighth film in the saga, which will probably be called Mission: Impossible: Deadly Sentence Part Two, the British capital has been affected by several road closures and closures.
