A multiple accident took place this Wednesday morning, where a car ran over three pedestrians in Plaza Espanya, in the Barcelona district of Sants-Montjuïc. The incident occurred around eight in the morning and shortly afterwards the Barcelona Fire Department arrived.
The three victims of the accident were initially treated at the scene of the accident and then transferred to hospital centers. The first information suggests that they had minor injuries.
For now, the causes of the accident are unknown. The police have stated that the driver of the vehicle and responsible for the incident has tested negative for drugs and alcohol.
In addition to the injuries, the accident has caused structural damage to a traffic signal and has significantly affected the flow of traffic in the area during the minutes in which the victims have been treated.
