Three people have suffered mild smoke poisoning and one of them also suffered minor burns this morning in the course of an already extinguished fire that broke out on the ground floor of a building on Ramón Maria del Valle Inclán street, number 15, in Alcalá de Henares, sources from 112 Community of Madrid have reported.
Summa 112 and the Red Cross treated 5 people and took 3 of them to the hospital, who were in the affected property, and who are a father, mother and son.
The 65-year-old father suffered mild poisoning due to smoke inhalation and also minor burns and was transferred to La Paz Hospital.
The 54-year-old woman and the 28-year-old son also suffered minor poisoning and both were admitted to the Príncipe de Asturias Hospital.
The fire developed in several rooms on the ground floor of a block with four more floors and in a few minutes the stairwell filled with smoke.
The Firefighters of the Community of Madrid initially confined the residents of the upper floors to avoid problems and after extinguishing the fire and ventilating the property, they carried out safety measurements in the homes of the property.
7 Firefighters from the Community of Madrid and a health device from SUMMA112 and the Red Cross participated in the emergency assistance. The National Police and the Local Police investigate what happened.
