The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested three alleged thieves, aged 19, 23 and 24, found with the loot in the trunk of a vehicle after breaking into several houses in Bescanó and Sant Gregori (Gironès).

Last Tuesday, around seven in the afternoon, the Mossos received a notice of a robbery with force in a house in Bescamó. When the Seguretat Ciutadana agents from the Salt police station arrived in the area, they saw a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street with the trunk open and loaded. In this way, the agents were able to arrest the three thieves red-handed.

The detainees are also related to another robbery, committed two hours earlier, in a house in Sant Gregori. The agents recovered part of the material stolen from that house in the vehicle of the detainees.

During the arrest, two of the alleged perpetrators attacked the agents and resisted. In addition, the 23-year-old detainee, driver of the vehicle, did not have a driver’s license. One of them identified himself with a name and identity document that were not his.

On Tuesday, March 30, shortly before three in the morning, an alarm was activated for a robbery in a telephone store in the city of Girona. When the mossos arrived at the premises they found the forced blind and the broken glass with traces of blood.

Thanks to the inquiries, the police located the two men who matched the description of the thieves, two streets down from the local telephone company. In the search, one of them found 3 cell phones that he had just stolen from the establishment.

Given the evidence, the agents arrested the two young people, aged 20 and 22, for the crime of robbery with force.

On the same day, around four in the afternoon and thanks to citizen collaboration, the police arrested a 44-year-old man who was accessing a flat in Salt. The agents thwarted the man’s robbery attempt and arrested him for the crime of robbery with force. The detainee had a screwdriver and a hair needle on him.

The six men, all with criminal records, will go to court at the investigative court on duty in Girona in the coming days.
