Climate change has long been an issue that worries not only scientists, but has already become the main concern of Spanish citizens. And it is no wonder, since the growing pollution has caused, among other consequences, the increase in global warming and the constant rise in sea level.

In this context, and as countries gather in Dubai to celebrate the annual United Nations climate summit, COP28, researchers from the Climate Center, a non-profit climate research entity, have illustrated the state in the that several cities in the world would remain if global temperatures rose 3ºC.

These projections seek to illustrate the consequences if countries fail to stop the precipitous warming trend of the planet, which according to experts is already 1.2ºC higher than pre-industrial levels.

At the moment, it looks like 2023 is going to end up as the warmest year on record. According to the World Meteorological Organization, new global temperature records are set every month.
