Starting this Friday, the legendary Sala Apolo (Nou de la Rambla, 113) has a new surprise space: Cinc, a cocktail bar hidden in a new room located between the smoking area and Room 2 to offer a little peace to the ‘ ravers’ who want to rest for a while before continuing dancing.
It has a seventies aesthetic, straight lines, mirrors that create a slightly psychedelic atmosphere, long benches that create waves, poufs, stools and a large marble bar where you can sit and experience the night in a calmer and slower way than usual. The entire creative concept has been devised by Juanjo Barante and his team from the Murray interior design studio.
“We want Cinc to be a place where you can have a drink in peace,” says Naiara Lasa, creative director of Sala Apolo, who also points out that this new space, which can only be accessed from the club, will not have the same sound as the rest of the rooms, but a much calmer atmosphere.
In it, there will be no sophisticated or avant-garde drinks, but rather simple but well-served cocktails. “Not in plastic, as happens in other rooms of the club for obvious reasons, but in glass. It is a different concept,” he adds, explaining that the intention is to create an oasis within the club in which to spend some time to decontaminate yourself from the noise. .
Cinc will be open only on Nitsa and Churros weekends, but at the same time it aims to serve as a space that can also be privatized for events, parties, afterparties, and a place that artists invited to the club can use to meet with their fans. .
“We hope that this new bar integrated into the Sala Apolo will serve as another space to add to the programming, although in the future we would like it to function autonomously for afternoon events,” concludes Lasa.
