Coldplay is already in Barcelona to offer its particular concert marathon. The British band led by Chris Martin will perform on May 24, 25, 27 and 28 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, which has hung the sold out sign after exhausting 200,000 tickets for the four dates.

The expectation is maximum. And that has been noticed as soon as he landed in Barcelona. Upon his arrival at El Prat airport, a group of followers were waiting for him, asking for photos and an autograph.

But there was no time for anything. As soon as he left the airport gate, Chris Martin limited himself to greeting them all from a distance, with a gesture of thanks for the welcome. Later, he got into the van with his Coldplay teammates, on their way to the hotel where they will spend the next few days.

Elton John and Coldplay will open this week the season of concerts and festivals in Barcelona, which will welcome this spring and summer artists such as Beyoncé, The Who, Maroon 5, Bob Dylan, Harry Styles, Iron Maiden and The Weeknd, as well as Rosalía, Blur and Depeche Mode at the Primavera Sound Festival.

In the case of the British band, they will perform on May 24, 25, 27 and 28 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. There are no tickets left, because the 200,000 seats that went on sale have sold out.

Given the large influx, the Barcelona City Council has recommended using public transport or going on foot and in advance to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and it is recommended to arrive at Montjuïc “in advance and in stages” and check any news about the start of the performances on the Estadi Olímpic website and on the Estadi’s social networks, the Palau Sant Jordi and the promoter of the concerts.
