Mesoestetic Pharma Group was born in a small pharmacy in Barcelona. There, the pharmacist Joan Carles Font created master formulas to treat the skin problems of those who could not find solutions on the market. In 1985 they left the robotics business and founded Mesoestetic.

The Catalan firm, after almost four decades, has become a world leader in aesthetic medicine treatments, especially depigmentation and anti-aging, and is possibly one of the most leading Spanish pharmaceutical companies with its own R&D laboratory in the areas of biotechnology, bioengineering, galenics and technology transfer. The fact of manufacturing its own products and testing them in house is the differentiating factor that guarantees their effectiveness, quality and safety.

Its corporate headquarters in Viladecans has 8,500 square meters and all production processes are controlled there; the production of assets, the formulation, manufacturing and distribution of its products until they reach the hands of the final consumer. Their success crosses borders with more than a million patients treated in 105 countries, and part of their success is due to the fact that they reinvest more than 40% of profits in research to develop increasingly effective solutions.

One of its star products is Cosmelan, a depigmentation treatment that has been on the market for decades and that addresses the problem of skin blemishes. A problem that 40% of the population suffers from and that affects both men and women, and all skin types and ethnicities, not only on an aesthetic level, it is also a psychosocial and emotional issue.

Spots on the skin are caused by the accumulation of melanin that absorbs radiation and protects against sunburn, especially in the most photoexposed parts: face, neck, décolleté and hands. Spots appear for various reasons, the main factor is sun exposure, but hormonal changes (such as pregnancy), chronoaging, genetic predisposition, inflammatory processes (such as acne), medication and exposure to sunburn also play a role. some chemical agents (such as perfumes with bergamot).

And if an alteration in the functioning of the skin is added to the problem of coloration, then not only must the accumulated pigment be eliminated, the physiology of the skin must be repaired in depth, and that is more difficult to treat.

After years of work and study, they have added two powerful ingredients to their Cosmelan treatment:

It is a comprehensive treatment that combines a single session in the cabin with a home regimen. In the cabin session, the aesthetic professional applies the intensive depigmenting action mask that must be kept on for 6 to 12 hours (depending on each phototype). The depigmentation process continues for six months with a home regimen under the indications and recommendations of the aesthetic professional.

The pack includes the cream and is accompanied by a soothing balm and a maximum reach sunscreen.

Mesoestetic emphasizes consistency and patient involvement is essential to make the process work. Skin protection should continue after treatment has ended.
