A total of eleven agents of the Badalona Urban Guard, with the support of four patrol cars and a van, carried out two interventions this morning against illegal street vending that takes place every Tuesday on Primavera street, in the Remei neighborhood , and on Avenida de Joan XXIII, in Artigues, next to the municipality of Sant Adrià de Besòs, where Mossos d’Esquadra agents have also participated.

Both police interventions, to which is added the one carried out on Saturday in Verdi and Monaco streets in the Puigfred neighborhood, have been closed without any detainees or injuries among the vendors and vendors of the more than sixty stalls that had been laid on the ground on Spring street. In the operation, clothing, footwear, toys and accessories such as belts or handbags have been seized.

The Councilor for the Security Area of ??the Badalona City Council, Juan Manuel Ruiz, has assured that: “This type of device will be made periodically because one of the main objectives of the municipal government is that the residents can walk peacefully and the merchants do not are affected by this unfair competition”. “I want to congratulate all the agents who have participated in the operation and the cleaning services because with their professionalism they make Badalona a safer and cleaner city”, he added.

At the end of both police actions, several teams from the cleaning service of the Badalona City Council have cleaned up and removed the rest of the rubbish that was on the streets.
