The Firefighters, together with members of the GES, (Supramunicipal Emergency Groups) have rescued the lifeless body of a person who had been trapped in a sewer two meters deep in the industrial estate of Rábade (Lugo). At the moment, the causes of this event are unknown.

As reported by the Integrated Emergency Assistance Center of Galicia (CIAE), Civil Guard agents requested help through 112, around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, to free the body of a person who had been trapped in a sewer two meters deep.

The emergency teams have explained that, due to the dimensions of the casket, it was necessary to cut a tube to reach the body. From the Emergency Center, the Galicia Health Emergencies-061, the Eume Firefighters and the members of the GES of the municipality of Friol were immediately informed.

According to Civil Guard sources, the body was found following the report of the disappearance of a 40-year-old resident of Rábade, whose report was issued a few days ago by his roommate.

The same sources have indicated that the corpse was in an advanced state of decomposition and did not carry any identifying object, which makes the correct identification of the subject very difficult. Currently, an investigation is being carried out in order to name the body and solve the case.
