Renfe’s Rodalies line R7 is cut off between Cerdanyola del Vallès and Cerdanyola Universitat due to an electrical fault in the section, as reported by Civil Protection. The same source indicates that due to the incident, a train has been stopped in the middle with 55 passengers on board. Traffic is stopped in both directions of travel. The Rodalies service has indicated that the incident took place at five in the afternoon and that it affects the electrification system, pantographs and catenary. The train has stopped at the exit of Cerdanyola Universitat. Technicians from Adif and Renfe have traveled to the point to evaluate and repair the incident.

Renfe, for its part, has reported that alternative transportation is being managed between both stations, and that the service will be operational while the cut between the two stations lasts.

He has also indicated that as a result of this incident there is a lack of electrical power on a road between Montcada Bifurcation and Sabadell Sur, a fact that causes delays on the R4 north line.

Shortly before seven in the afternoon, Renfe reported that an alternative service had already been enabled. Regarding the travelers who had been trapped on the train, they were evacuated with the help of the Firefighters to an adjacent road where a bus picked them up, the same source reported.

Renfe has also reported that shortly after seven in the afternoon, traffic was recovered on both tracks on the Montcada Bifurcación – Sabadell Sud section of line R4, which had been affected by the same Cerdanyola breakdown. From here on, frequencies and schedules will be progressively recovered.
