The EH Bildu logo has been covered on the support billboards for Club Atlético Osasuna that were placed this Friday around the La Cartuja stadium in Seville, where this Saturday the final of the Copa del Rey will be played between the Navarrese team and the Real Madrid. The billboards are still standing but the part in which the political party showed its support for Osasuna has been covered with a blue canvas, with phrases in both Spanish and Basque.

Once it became known that they had been placed, the PSOE filed a complaint with the Seville Electoral Board (JEZ) against EH Bildu and asked this body to order the Junta de Andalucía, owner of the land, to immediately withdraw it. .

In a statement, the PSOE has informed that, in its complaint against the political formation EH Bildu for violation of article 53 of the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime, it requests the JEZ to proceed to order this party and the Junta de Andalucía, as the owner of the land, the immediate removal of the mentioned billboards.

In addition, it asks to initiate disciplinary proceedings against EH Bildu ordering him to refrain from carrying out these illegal practices in the future.

Article 53 of the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime establishes that, “from the calling of the elections until the legal start of the campaign, it is prohibited to carry out electoral publicity or propaganda through posters, commercial supports or insertions in the press, radio or other digital media, such actions cannot be justified by the exercise of the ordinary activities of the parties, coalitions or federations recognized in the previous section”.

For its part, the Seville City Council has demanded that the Junta de Andalucía intervene immediately to order the removal of the billboards, installed on land owned by the Autonomous Administration, near the La Cartuja Stadium and in the municipal area of ​​the town. Seville from Santiponce.

In a statement, the City Council has indicated that this billboard contravenes the electoral law that expressly prohibits this type of advertising by political parties before the start of the electoral campaign.

In this sense, he demands clarification on whether the society of the Estadio de La Cartuja benefits financially, even indirectly, from this type of advertising message from Bildu, which is currently prohibited.

In its social networks, EH Bildu maintains the photographs of the billboards, with the message “Sevilla has a special color. Aúpa Osasuna”.
