The National Police has charged five ultras from Mallorca for painting a banner with insults against Vinícius a few days ago in the vicinity of Son Moix. They are accused of a hate crime for the racist content of the text that appeared on the banner, which was hung on May 5, according to Ultima Hora.

The group of ultras, of which there are at least five investigated, took down several banners of political parties that had been installed near the stadium. On the back of the banners they wrote comments against the Real Madrid player with racist insults against him. The ultras were in Son Moix because shortly after a match was being played between Real Mallorca and Valencia CF.

The action of the young people was captured by a drone of the National Police, which at that time was flying over the Mallorca facilities to detect possible incidents. The cameras located in this security device detected the group of ultras and the entire action was recorded, which has helped to detect offenders.

Meanwhile, some of the attendees at the stadium to witness the game saw what the young people were doing, recriminated their attitude, snatched their banners and threw them in the trash. The images of the drones served to identify the ultras. The National Police has already charged at least five of them, but it is not ruled out that there are more investigated.

A Mallorca fan was tried a few months ago after an investigation for a hate crime against the same Mallorca player. The ultra uttered numerous racist insults against Vinícius during the match between Real Mallorca and Real Madrid on February 5 of this year. The young man was accused of a hate crime and before a judge he assured that he was sorry.

As a consequence, he was expelled from Mallorca and has been banned from entering for three years. He was also fined 4,000 euros. Vinícius assured in the trial that he had felt offended by the insults uttered by the Mallorca fan.
