It was in the middle of an argument when the 72-year-old assailant hit her husband, the same age, with a stick, causing him a head injury for which he remained hospitalized in Almería for 178 days. Now, the Prosecutor’s Office has requested a sentence of two and a half years in prison.

The assumptions would have taken place in October 2020 at the family home, when the woman would have hit her head “several times” with the “moment of ending her life”, according to the prosecutor. This caused the victim a head injury, among other injuries, which would have “caused her death if she had not received medical assistance,” he details.

The man required 178 days of hospitalization to heal and as a result he has been left with a serious alteration in his mental state, loss of vision in one eye, post-traumatic changes to the iris, persistent ulcers and “medium aesthetic damage”.

All this has caused it to present an “impediment in almost all essential activities” and that the “specific ones of personal development” are “very affected”.

For these alleged facts, the prosecutor accuses the defendant of attempted murder, for which she is interested in two and a half years in prison and the payment of compensation to the victim of 613,835 euros.
