The Prosecutor’s Office requests three years in prison for the former commissioner of the National Police and former head of the Central Police Station of València Ricardo Ferris who, in an event organized by Vox at the Ateneo Mercantil, assured, among other expressions, that “all criminals They are immigrants, at least in Spain, and that is a problem that we necessarily have to address.”

The public ministry considers that the expressions used by Ferris constitute a crime committed during the exercise of fundamental rights and public freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. Among other expressions, he also assured that “all criminal phenomena are carried out, practically entirely by foreigners” or “absolutely all the violations that are being committed in Spain are being committed by people who come from outside and I say and affirm that because “That’s how it is,” according to the tax document.

In addition to prison, the Prosecutor’s Office claims in its provisional qualification document, a fine of 3,600 euros and special disqualification for a profession or educational occupation in the field of teaching, sports and free time for a period of six years and disqualification for employment or public office. during the same time.

As reported by Valencia Acull in a statement, around thirty organizations of migrants and the defense of their rights filed a complaint with the Valencia Prosecutor’s Office for these events, in which both this entity and CIM Burkina, two of the complainants, exercise the popular accusation and will present their accusation documents in the coming days.

The events occurred on October 14, 2002 when the accused, then in office, was participating in the ‘Day on Immigration and Citizen Security’ organized by Vox at the Ateneo, and at the round table where he participated he launched a speech in which he attributed to the immigrant group “practically all of the commission of crimes, messages aimed at propagating rejection, contempt, hostility and animosity towards them and in which, in addition, false data are recorded” for that purpose.

The letter from the prosecutor Susana Gisbert emphasizes that the accused made these statements “knowing that the data he referred to was false” since, according to information from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), the number of Infractions committed in the autonomy in 2022 by people of Spanish nationality amounted to 38,872 while those committed by people of other origins were 19,766. Regarding crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity, there are 86 committed by nationals and 40 by foreigners.

The General Directorate of the National Police agreed days after the day to relieve the chief inspector at the proposal of the Higher Police Headquarters of the Valencian Community, as reported at that time by the Ministry.
