The Vox candidate for mayor of Valencia, Juan Manuel Badenas, assures that culture must be defended “by eating, drinking and fucking, because fucking also makes culture.” In these terms he spoke at a lunch held in the Valencian town of Jarafuel, as reported by the digital esdiario.
At the event, specifically a lunch, the Vox candidate can be seen standing up addressing the attendees and defending the concept of counterculture that promotes his political formation. In these images, Badenas can be heard affirming that “they want to impose a culture that is not ours and that they want to defend it to the end.” As? The far-right leader makes it clear: “eating, drinking and fucking.”
Radio Valencia has contacted Juan Manuel Badenas who has assured this station that the lunch in question was held two years ago, that it was a relaxed meeting between friends who got together to enjoy the gastronomy and wines of the valley of Now.
The now Vox candidate for mayor of Valencia explains that “this meeting is often held” and that they have been dubbed “politically incorrect lunches.” At the lunch in question, Badenes explains, he did not hold any kind of political responsibility.
Born in Valencia, Badenas is 57 years old and has a degree and Doctorate in Law. He is specialized in matters of civil liability, civil and commercial contracting, as well as national and international arbitration, mediation, Valencian civil law, sports law, consumer law, electronic commerce and inheritance.
Badenas has dedicated most of his professional career to teaching, combining this activity with that of Substitute Magistrate of the Provincial Courts of Valencia and Castellón. He was also rector of the International University of Valencia, the VIU.
He joined Vox in 2018 and last February he was appointed by the National Executive Committee as the party’s candidate for mayor of Valencia in the next municipal elections. Since February, he has actively participated in Vox events with a megaphone in hand, criticizing the management of both the Generalitat government and the Valencia City Council.
