The group Zoo announced their farewell this Sunday, which comes at the best moment for a band that on the tour of the album ‘Llepolies’ filled the WiZink Center in Madrid and the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona a year ago with their rap in Valencian. and that he will definitely leave the stage after eleven last concerts.
Sources close to the band have explained to EFE that the goodbye has a double cause: on the one hand the need and desire of its leader, Toni ‘Panxo’ Sánchez, to focus more on his personal life, and on the other the awareness that After the success of that last album they could no longer go any further and were certain that they did not want to continue at half speed.
The Valencian band has announced their goodbye with a video on their social networks in which their iconic ‘monet’ (as the monkey that is the group’s logo is colloquially called) meets and greets Panxo before entering a dark forest .
A few days ago, and coinciding with Zoo’s concert at the Festivern, some prints appeared in Tavernes de la Valldigna, the Valencian town that hosts the festival, in its streets with the monkey logo and the message: ‘He sigut feliç’ (‘ I have been happy’).
Zoo was born in 2014 in Gandia (Valencia) following the success of Panxo’s song ‘Estiu’ and says goodbye after three studio albums, an EP, two live albums and a dozen concert tours in which, singing in Valencian, they have usually been headliners.
In addition to all over Spain, his concerts have also reached Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland, France, Japan, England and Palestine, among other countries.
The group will undertake a tour between March and July that will take them through Lugo (A Candeloira), Iruña (Iruña Rock), Murcia (Garaje Beat Club), Barcelona (Telecogresca), Jerez de la Frontera (Primavera Trompetera), Bilbao (Zeid Fest ), Villarrobledo (Viñarock), Mallorca (Sensenom Fest), El Bonillo (Alterna Festival), Madrid (La Riviera) and which will culminate in its place of origin, Gandia (Pirata Beach Festival).
