Today I would like to show in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos some photographs that I have captured in Ribera d’Ondara, in the Segarra region. They are some snapshots that I never thought I would be able to take one day.

I took these images right after I got out of the car and they left me in shock, since there were four military planes “parked” in a huge garden.

And, beyond the fact that I could not expect to find this in this Lleida town, the truth is that I had never seen a military plane live and direct. So, between one thing and the other, I was a bit stunned.

Of course, these planes can be very beautiful, as long as they are merely decorative and, if they never roam the skies again, they will be even more so.

The most interesting house in Sant Pere dels Arquells, in Ribera d’Ondara, is Ca l’Alió, a large house overlooking the Plaza Mayor and Calle del Pont.

The most curious thing is that, in the era of the house, visible from Pont Street, there are these military aircraft, such as a Mig-15, a Mig-21 or a Mig-23, from the air forces of Eastern countries . Visits are even organized.

The façade of Ca l’Alió facing Carrer del Pont largely preserves its original 17th-century appearance, with three framed windows.

The MIGs are famous aircraft from the Mikoian-Gurevich factory, a Russian (formerly Soviet) manufacturer specialized in the development and production of combat aircraft.
