The Administrative Court of Sports (TAD) confirmed this Monday to the Higher Sports Council (CSD) that it is beginning an investigation for very serious infractions against Pedro Rocha, the former president of the Managing Commission after the departure of Luis Rubiales, and the rest of the members of said Manager. This file was opened after the complaint of Miguel Ángel Galán, president of the national school of CENAFE Coaches, and could end with the precautionary suspension of all of them by the CSD.

The file catches the Federation at a very delicate moment. This afternoon, the Manager was going to name Pedro Rocha as president of the Spanish Football Federation as he was the only candidate who had managed to gather sufficient endorsements from the Assembly in accordance with the electoral process. 21 of the 148 were needed and Rocha had achieved 107.

The investigation is opened because the TAD sees signs that the Manager has exceeded her duties during all this time and has made decisions that would only correspond to an elected president. The CSD could urgently meet its board of directors and decide to temporarily remove them from their functions while the TAD resolves this complaint.

If Pedro Rocha is suspended, the Federation would have to temporarily disqualify the only candidate who has achieved the necessary endorsements, which could lead to starting the entire electoral process again. A last option would be for FIFA to finally agree to the Federation intervening, which seems very unlikely. As the entire Manager has been filed, so is its current president, Rafael del Amo, which means entering into an unprecedented legal vacuum.
