The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court (TS) has decided not to admit for processing the complaint filed by the company Gaudi Innovatio SLU against the councilors (between 2015 and 2019) and then deputies Gerardo Pisarello, Eloi Badía, Jaume Asens and the former commissioner of Sports of the Barcelona City Council, Marta Carranza, who was held responsible for the failure of the Open Camp project in the Barcelona Olympic Ring.
The company accused the defendants of the alleged crimes of conditional threats, coercion, extortion, document falsification, official fraud, administrative prevarication or illegal financing of a political party, but the high court does not see reasons that justify the opening of a criminal process. The company recounts the events that the defendants allegedly carried out to prevent the project, which had been agreed between the municipal company BSM and the commercial company Open Camp when Xavier Trias was mayor.
The agreement established a series of obligations for the contracting companies that gave rise to several business initiatives and investments.
