The first Barcelona-Real Madrid classic of the 2022/2023 season will be played on July 23 in Las Vegas. The Barça team already knows the complete schedule of matches that will form part of the ‘Soccer Champions Tour’, an initiative that will take other teams to the United States this summer, such as Juventus from Turin and the Mexicans América and Guadalajara, and in which the main course will be the classic.
Both teams made public at the same time the date of the second match they will play in the United States, at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, a stadium with a capacity for 65,000 spectators and which is the headquarters of the Las Vegas Raiders, an NFL team.
The first Clásico was played on July 30, 2017, in Miami at a Hard Rock Stadium that hung the sign of no tickets with more than 64,000 spectators. That game ended with a 3-2 Barça victory with goals from Messi, Rakitic and Piqué.
Apart from the matches already announced against Inter Miami FC, on July 19, and New York Red Bulls, on July 30, Xavi Hernández’s team has announced the friendly against the Whites and against Juventus Turin, the July 26, in Dallas.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, will also tour the United States in which their first duel will be against the Catalans. Three days later, on July 26, they will play against América de México in San Francisco and on the 30th they will face Juventus in Los Angeles.
