To get to Sant Pere Sacama you have to climb this hill of Olesa de Montserrat, in the Baix Llobregat, where we find this chapel dedicated to San Pedro apostol.

This hermitage, the protagonist today in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, was built on a strategic rocky hill as the culminating point of the mountain range that separates Baix Llobregat from Vallès Occidental.

This Romanesque hermitage, apart from being located in a beautiful place with a very good view, is rarely visited. On the other hand, it is surely one of the most observed from afar, since it is very visible at the Terrassa exit on the Manresa highway.

The hermitage was part of the Sacama castle (10th – 12th centuries), of which only pieces of a stone wall placed in a spike shape (opus spicatum) remain between rocks.

In this way, Sant Pere Sacama served as the old chapel of this fortress, which had already been known since the year 963. The hermitage has a magnificent appearance, with Lombard arches and a small central semicircular window. The door faces west and is linteled.
