A large cloud of smoke from the fires that Canada is suffering these days has reached the Galician coast, which can be seen with the naked eye in the skies of the Community.

As Meteogalicia sources have reported, the suspended particles produced by the fires in the North American country have crossed the Atlantic Ocean and have reached Galicia in the form of a large cloud.

According to experts, this cloudiness is located in the highest layers of the atmosphere and does not pose any risk to the population. The best hours to see it are early in the morning or at dusk.

Despite the fact that they call it an “anecdote”, from Meteogalicia they have valued current technology, which allows visualizing where these smokes are and the route they are likely to take.

Precisely the European observer Copernicus shows that this cloud of smoke will remain in the sky of northern Spain for at least two more days, but it will fade as the days go by.

The smoke comes from the massive fires that are raging in Canadian forests. It is estimated that the country has suffered this year the burning of four million hectares by forest fires, having registered more than 400 fires on July 6.
