In this series of photographs in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos we can appreciate the curious textures made with the tractor in this tilled field in the town of Rellinars, in Vallès Occidental bordering Bages.

The art of working the land dates back to very ancient times and has always left an ephemeral trace associated with the hard work of farmers, for example, with the marks left by the plow.

Gradually, in the most advanced and mechanized countries, this agricultural instrument that, moved by animal or mechanical power, serves to till the land by opening furrows in it has been replaced by modern tractors.

But that does not mean that the tractor, as the plow did, also leaves its marks on the earth, also a symbol of the work done so that it ends up bearing fruit.

The forestry sector covers more than half of the municipality of Rellinars, but it is a municipality dedicated to the predominant cultivation of gardens (tomatoes, beans and potatoes). The vineyard had been the basic crop but currently there are only residual vineyards. Olive trees were also important.
